Jobs for January

It may be wet and cold outside, but
there are still jobs to be done in
preparation for spring in the
garden. A little planning and
thinking time now will pay
dividends and help you make
the most of your Big Planter.

Looking Good (for longer)!

Big Planters are made very well and from the best pre-treated wood (click for more). This means that there is very little requirement for ongoing maintenance (which most of our customers regard as good news!). The planters are delivered with a polythene line with drainage holes giving the best support for healthy soil as well as minimising the exposure of timber to moisture.

We do not colour the big planters during construction so the colour they arrive in is ‘au natural'. If you would like to see your planters in a different shade just apply the coloured wood preservative of your choice (we recommend the Sadolin Classic range).

Other than that the only thing we ask is that during long dry spells (and we've not seen these for a while) it is recommended that you give the big planters (and of course the flowers or vegetables in them) a decent watering from time to time.
